Paul Arrowsmith: Efficient Learning, Test Preparation and the Pareto Principal

Abstract:  Time, like all resources is limited. Modern day life and the speed of communication brought about by technological advances can put increased pressure on individuals to achieve their goals as quickly as possible. This environment creates the need to complete work in a more timely and efficient manner. Some of us are lucky enough to have naturally good organizational skills, while many of us struggle to achieve our goals despite spending just as much time on them. This paper will attempt to apply a tool, first coined in microeconomics and further espoused in business schools, to language learning and test preparation.
